Greta Joy – BC Registered Clinical Counsellor.
Greta has an undergraduate degree in Child Studies (1987) from Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, NS and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (2012, Yorkville University, NB). The years in between offered tremendous life learning while she travelled to western Canada, married and raised a family in Banff, Alberta. The thirst of understanding how life events create one’s world view led her to advance her skillset through experiential learning in Sandplay Therapy, EMDR, Safe & Sound Protocol for holistic healing of interpersonal trauma.
Trained in developmental psychology, play therapy, neuroscience and attachment theory, her scope of practice is based on the belief that we all hold the power for our own healing.
Utilizing techniques from client-centred care, Body-Mind practices and clinical research Greta views the clients’ strengths and challenges as adaptations of their own stress management systems and helps clients integrate this mindset with their authentic life goals.
